Contingency plans have been prepared and "hands-on" training conducted for logging operations, mining sites, railways, steel plants, road/bridge construction and gas operations throughout Canada and the US. The Canada Shipping Act has been used as a basis for developing emergency response procedures for various sites designated by the Canadian Coast Guard. Corporate standards have also been devised and updated for managing petroleum products and hazardous materials.
